Worked on a large arable farm at the age of 17 in the Scottish borders for a harvest operating machinery and helping run the Grain Dryer.
6 month spell in both North and South island of New Zealand working on a Mixed farm and a Large Contracting business, Operating Claas Lexion combine, square and round baler, all operations involved with silage and hay making.
Two summers Working at Large Contracting Business Based in County Durham - Operating class combine, clamping silage using loader, ploughing, cultivating.
One harvest at Northumberland based Contracting outfit Doing typical harvest associated duties.
Two years Working for Farmers/ Contractors based in Rutland/Leicestershire - Operating Claas combines, Ploughing using 5 and seven furrow ploughs. Seed drilling using 6 metre kverneland tine drill and sumo DTS drill alone with hedge cutting and min till cultivations.
2 years in East Yorkshire on a Large Arable and Root farm. Head Spray operator using Agirfac machines. Responsible for spraying 1000 acre of seed potatoes and 300 acre of Ware alongside the Arable aspect of the business covering several 1000’s of acres growing vining peas, Oilseed rape and cereals.
